One new park has opened and another is in the works on opposite sides of the Columbia River. Work started in March on East Wenatchee’s Gateway Park, and the project reached substantial completion Monday. City Project Development Manager Tom Wachholder said a few items remain, such as handrail adjustments, but the park is open to the public.
